Budget 2021: HAC’s Analysis

On April 19, 2021, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, the Honourable Chrystia Freeland tabled the Federal Budget, entitled A Recovery Plan for Jobs, Growth, and Resilience.

#Budget2021 outlined commitments to address the inequities in Canada’s digital tax system and delivers marketing support for our sector’s long term recovery. The extension of the wage subsidy (CEWS) and fixed costs support (CERS) to September 25, 2021 is welcome news for hard hit sectors, including hotels.
